The Cost of an Upset/Crabby Patient

Take a second and think, think about that one patient or family that comes into the office and always gives you and your dental team a hard time. Yah, think about Phyllis and how every time she comes in she complains about the last time she was in the dental office, and why she can't pay the bill. Ever so often we have these crabby patients that come in and throw our entire day off. How are you handling these patients? Have you and your team sat down and talked about how to handle Phyllis. Doctors, do you and your team know how to show up in these situations? Have you ever thought about how much it costs you to have a crabby patient, if you don't show up a certain way?

Are You Making Good First Impressions with Your Patients?

Everybody thinks the first impressions are made when we walk up face to face and actually take a look and see each other and that's not always the case. It depends on how they found you maybe on your website or did they find you on Google? That brand creates an impression, it creates the impression of who you are, how you present dental practice and what you are selling. When you look at your website does it sell health? Does it match what you represent? Are your dental patients aware of your services?

Doctors, Have it Your Way!

Nurturing relationships with your dental patients is an essential part of building your practice. In our day and age letting your patients know they are valued and cared for has never been more important. In the age of social media patient’s have the ability within moments to share their experience with hundreds of people. An unhappy patient can share their negative experience with the masses via social media that could have a negative affect on your practice. It is more important than ever to create an excellent experience for your patients.  It takes a minimum of 12 positive experiences (I have been told it’s more like 100)  to make up for 1 negative experience.
