Darren Kaberna interviews Dr Gary Schwarz D.D.S., M.D. S. an Oral Surgeon from McAllen TX, during the Dentists Who Cares Conference held in South Padre Island TX. Dr Schwarz is an Oral surgeon who loves his practice, loves his patients and loves the outdoors. He is a spiritual man who says his religious faith is the foundation to his success.
In this interview Dr Schwarz discusses his love for dentistry and his passion for implant dentistry. At the time when he had been in practice for more than thirty years he felt his practice had leveled off. At the recommendation of his Bio Noble representative Dr Schwarz became a member of the Seattle Study Club, he believes in the importance of investing in your practice and always improving your skill. It was then that he feels he began practicing at a higher level.
Dr Schwarz discusses how important his Treatment Plan Coordinator is for the success of his practice. She was originally hired as a surgery assistant and after attending the Seattle Study Club with Dr Schwarz transitioned into the position of Treatment Coordinator. Dr Schwarz found her to be a caring and gifted communicator who is able completely prepares patients for treatment.
Along with his love for the outdoors Dr Schwarz is passionate about the organization Dentists Who Care. Dentist Who Care is a private, non-profit charitable organization that was created in 1996 to help solve the problem of poor oral health among children in the Rio Grande Valley. The mission is to improve the access to dental care to low income families have no dental insurance and no access to dental care. The organization directs the volunteer efforts of over 200 dentists and their dental assistants who donate their services on board a mobile dental unit.
To date, the organization has provided over 2 million dollars in charitable care to over 20,000 children. Recognition from their professional includes citations from the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the ADA Health Foundation.
