What is the foundation of our own personal philosophy? How will this impact your Dental Office? Success is the result of a strong foundation, weather it is personal success or success in your practice. It all begins with the attention to the small details of your everyday life. It begins with how you think, all those small little things, all those small decisions effect every area of our life. All the small actions and decisions make a massive impact on the details of your life. And it all starts with how we begin our day. Do you start by asking limiting questions? Do you begin your day by saying:

I didn't get enough rest.
I don't have enough time.
I don't have enough money.

When you start your day focusing on not enough we develop an attitude of scarcity. When you have an attitude of scarcity or not enough we start to blame, and make decisions out of fear. When we make decisions out of fear they tend to be poor decisions. The reality is if you want a better life you need to make better decisions.

When we look at someone's life or business we often look at the end results. When look at someone that has a great house, great marriage or great practice we think how lucky. We miss that all those great things are the result of millions of little tiny decisions and actions that accumulated into the result we see. The outcome is the result of a strong foundation. It is important to remember that how you start your day is generally how you finish your day. How you start your day is the foundation of your day. The quite time ritual can be so important in setting the tone for the day and focus for the day. Begin by on focusing on your desired outcomes how do you want your day to go:

What kind of relationships do you want to have?
What kind of practice do you want?
It is also very beneficial to start your day with an exercise in gratitude make a list of a few things that you are grateful for.

When we remember the things we have to be thankful for it sets a new tone for the day it helps keep us focused. Long-term success comes from a strong foundation, so start your day with a strong morning huddle, and focus on what is important for that day. We tend to get what we focus on. So get focused on the things that are important to you, for your staff, your patients and your practice. Be clear on what you want, focus on what you want not what you don't want. What you focus on becomes the foundation of your life.
