What is the foundation of your clinical dental philosophy?

What is the foundation of your clinical dental philosophy? "What" "How" and "Why" do you do what you do? Is your philosophical foundation build incorrectly?

Leadership expert and author, Simon Sinek, wrote a book called, Start With Why. In this book he states that it is your right to find and amplify your passion so that you can love your job. What is the Foundation of your dental office and personal life?

What is the foundation of our own personal philosophy? How will this impact your Dental Office? Success is the result of a strong foundation, weather it is personal success or success in your practice. It all begins with the attention to the small details of your everyday life. It begins with how you think, all those small little things, all those small decisions effect every area of our life. All the small actions and decisions make a massive impact on the details of your life. And it all starts with how we begin our day. Do you start by asking limiting questions? What Motivates a Dental Patient to Say Yes to Treatment?

When presenting dental treatment to the patient, how do we do it so they say yes? How do we paint a picture so the dental patient goes from fear to pleasure? What is the best process? Do we take the time to slow down to go fast? Do we really understand what drives that particular dental patient's motivation?

Have we said the same thing to the patient the same way the last several times we have seen them to repair that same problem? Why do you think they are still hesitating?

How badly do you want to grow your Dental Practice?

How badly do you want your dental practice to grow? Do you ever think "I can't do that" or "that won't work for me?" Do you desire to be successful but just don't know how to go about it? Why is the dental practice down the street growing and you are not? How do they do it? Does scarcity motivate you to stay stuck where you are?

I am sure all of you know the success of Tiger Woods. When Tiger thought his swing could improve, he fired his coach of 10 years and had to "start all over" with someone new. That's when he came back to the winning mode we all know him to be... and continues improving and winning to this day.

Does being a dental patient advocate or provider, impact dental case acceptance?

Does being a dental patient advocate or provider, impact dental case acceptance?

Is it your job to worry about your patient's economics and finances? What holds you back in communication with your dental patients when recommending treatment? Do you as a patient provider; whether it be the doctor, the hygienist or the assistant, provide the information of what you see, regardless of the patient's means to restore them back to optimum dental health? Are you their advocate in the unbiased presentation of their dental treatment?

What responsibilities do we have in recommending treatment to our patients? How do we create that mindset? Too often we prejudge their finances, desires or ambitions when it comes to treatment presentation.
